A charming and beautiful, small seaside village on the northwest coast of County Clare, Doolin is very famous because of the nearby Cliffs of Moher and the Burren region.
Doolin offers a host of exciting leisure activities such as music, camping, fishing, boating or hiking. Discover the Great Stalactite at Doolin Cave, measuring 7.3 metres (23 feet) in length, it is recognised as being the longest stalactite in the Northern hemisphere.
Doolin is a good base for ferry trips to the Aran Islands. Inishere (Inis Oirr) is the nearest to the mainland, only about six miles from Doolin.
Doolin is generally renowned world-wide as the traditional music capital of Ireland and every year Doolin hosts major music events such as the Micho Russel Festival weekend in February (world-famous Irish traditional musician).
